Ladies, please....

You knew I would come back to report as soon as humanly possible, didn't you?!?

As I type this, I am at *work*, in my new office, surrounded by sunshine and fall leaves out the huge windows, with puppies and kitties napping contentedly on the couches. Life, it would seem, is very very good today.

I. LOVE. THIS. NEW. HOUSE.

The closing went extremely smoothly, only took about 30 minutes (I was seriously concerned we'd be there for hours), we met the sellers for the first time--they seemed nice but, um, quirky, I guess, is the best word for it. He raises and races pigeons. Their neighbors here did not like that, as you can imagine. But I digress....we moved a few things that afternoon, met some neighbors, and had Nat and John come over to christen the new digs.

Saturday we undertook the monster, herculean task of moving two houses worth of large furniture, including my fridge and a washer and dryer that had to be carried upstairs, with just the four of us (all extended family had obligations they couldn't get out of, like weddings and moving to Florida--fine!). I have never been so exhausted in my life, and I'm still sore, but not as sore as I was the first time we did the Core-focused Yoga class with all the sun salutations, so it must not have been that bad. I can't really remember, I blocked a lot of it out ;) Since then we've been unpacking and repacking and unpacking and moving around and dropping hundreds of dollars at Lowes, and it's all been fantastic. This morning the alarm went off, I took the dogs out for a quick walk, fed all the animals, put on the coffee for my hubby (all in my pajamas, of course), and saw him off to work (a whole five minutes down the road--he was 10 minutes early). I could totally get used to this...

Todays goals are:
Grab another load from Avondale
Consolidate some of this stereo/tv equipment so I can unpack more
Unpack more
Get all the food from the Yorkshire house (pantry and fridge/freezer)
Try to shower before noon

OH! And I found my camera battery charger (I told you the move would turn it up!) so next post, pictures of the new house!!!!!!
HOORAY!!!!!

Thanks for all the posting in the comments, ladies, you made me laugh and laugh today when I could finally check my email again. Wasn't that little white house on Main Street awesome? Good Ol' Weaverville. Seriously, we need to meet up and reminisce. Soon.
I love you guys.

YAY!

I hate moving, too. Seriously- it's the wrost thing ever and it just keeps going and going and going. SO. MUCH. STUFF. I hate packing boxes, moving them for 30 mintues and then having to unpack them. But, I love organizing :) SO glad you are happy with your decision.

photos please. now. immediately.

Got to run to one of the other houses to find my phone cord, but I'll update you as to the progress so far later, I promise!

Sunday--you totally asked me that already, didn't you? I'm so sorry, in the chaos over here I forgot to reply! Yes, I do work from home, and I looooove it. Since Matt and I got married we had been living in his house and I had been driving over to mine to use the office and even though I was technically working from home, I hated even that--I don't think I could ever go back to an actual office job. You can't beat the relaxed dress code and being able to walk the dogs and run errands or bake while you're "at work".
